Telephone Conversation

Wayne and I had an interesting telephone conversation yesterday morning.  I was getting ready to leave for church and planned to stop by the hospital on the way home.
 
“Hi, Sweetheart.  On my way to the hospital. Would you like me to pick you up a Whopper?”
 
“No thanks.  The woman who gives me Physical Therapy is getting me one.”
 
Ah, so Wayne had been flirting again.  “Is she paying for it herself?”

Modern Medicine

Wayne has been telling me for years that wine is good for us.  That it’s medicinal.  Apparently he’s right.  The hospital is allowing him two glasses of wine with his dinner, and get this—it has to be ordered through the hospital pharmacy.  He’s loving the fact he’s right—about this, at least! A New Member of the “New Knee Club”

My dear hubby has been suffering with bad knees for the last few years.  Today he went into the hospital for total knee replacement.  Because he’s been so healthy Wayne hasn’t needed major surgery since the time he was a kid, and, while he didn’t want it to show, I could see he was a bit concerned.  Before we left for the hospital he assured me the life insurance policy was paid up and gave me last minute instructions.  Now I was the one getting a bit concerned!  We were up at 3 a.m. Read more
