A Grateful Farewell
The Hallmark Channel announced last night that they will not create another season of Cedar Cove. As I reflect on the past three years, I’m humbled that Hallmark Channel entrusted me with their first scripted TV series. It was an honor that will remain one of the highlights of my career. We had three wonderful years for which I will always be grateful. I could not have chosen a more talented cast or crew to bring my stories to life. Andie MacDowell, Dylan Neal and the rest of the cast beautifully portrayed their characters that are as dear to me as friends. I want to heartily thank you, the viewers, for making these past three years such a success. None of this would have happened without you. I look forward to working with Hallmark Channel in the future.

I loved the series Cedar Cove and I will truly miss it. I had hopes that it would continue for a long time. Three years…not long enough. I have enjoyed reading the series and will read it again, many times over, I’m sure. I have quite a collection of your books and continue collecting them as I can afford it. You are GREAT and I love reading your books. Keep up the good work!!

Thank you for sharing. While I am sorry to read about the cancellation of the program, I am grateful to be able to hear your books on audio. The show is what led me to you and I have found an amazing author. Your books are what I use to train to hear. I am deaf and had a cochlear implant just three years ago. I had to learn how to hear. The audio books helped me to see the good in people and the care – Cedar Cove was the start of a new beginning for me. Flipping through the channels I like the title of Cedar Cove, The main reason I watch the movies on Hallmark is the Cedar Cove. I certainly hope they make more Debbie Macomber titles.

I will miss not seeing another season of Cedar Cove. I really enjoyed the first two years. Great actors and stories. I hope that they maybe will do another of Debbie’s book series.

I’am soooo disappointed to hear it was cancelled, I was really looking forward to another season. You are my favorite author and I never miss a book. Thank you for you’re great books !!! And happy new year, Lori

Thank you for sharing this bit of information. While I am sorry to read about the cancellation of the Cedar Cove Series, I am happy to say that I have all the books and DVDs and will be able to keep up with the characters. The Cedar Cove family was a part of my family too! I could not wait to see the next episode! I have quite a few co=workers who have become hooked and will be sorry to hear the news. I hope that Hallmark has a change of heart and brings the series back.
I also wanted to say how much I enjoyed “Dashing Thru the Snow”.

I am really upset that they decided not to continue the series. I looked forward to watching more of it and feel they left it so unfinished. Maybe someday they will reconsider. If not, Debbie, keep your books coming for us to enjoy.
