Twenty-six years ago today—precisely at 4:39 p.m.—I sold my first book.  Editor Mary Clare Susan phoned to make an offer.  I was in such a state of bewilderment and awe that I said a total of four words.  Hello.  Yes.  Thank-you. Goodbye.  A few days later I phoned back just to be sure I hadn’t dreamed this up.   I remember praying intensely that God would allow me to sell just one book.  I could never have imagined or dreamed all that He had in store for me.   How grateful I am for the wondrous adventure the last 26 years have been,  and I hope to have just as many years more living this wonderful dream.
