My friend,  Mary Lou Carney, arrives this afternoon from Chicago.  Mary Lou and I wrote The Truly Terribly Horrible Sweater  . . . That Grandma Knit, our first children’s picture book, which is due in stores this October.  It’s destined to be a fun weekend with shopping, visiting, and probably a movie or two . . .  and, naturally, popcorn.  (I consider popcorn to be one of the major food groups!)  No doubt we’ll get involved in a plotting session,  and the fun part is that not all our plotting involves books.
