Testing, Testing!
I had computer problems this morning. If you ever want to see a writer throw a temper tantrum, then watch what happens when their computer decides to act weird. I noticed, however, that I went through at least three of the stages of grieving.
1. Denial. "There's nothing wrong. It's just taking my computer a little longer than normal to boot up."
2. Anger. "This blasted computer Wayne, I need help in here. I am not yelling. I am calm and in control. If you think I am impatient, then I suggest you hurry and help me before I get REALLY upset.
3. Bargaining. "I will give anyone who can fix this computer in the next sixty seconds ten thousand dollars."
The computer finally straightened itself out (and, phew, no one stepped forward to claim the ten thousand dollars). I still am not sure what happened but I think it was running some kind of testing program. It tested all right — my patience!
