Happy Easter!
Wayne and I are in Port Orchard with our family. We’ve been busy stuffing Easter eggs for our annual grandkid extravaganza. My daughters and I are cooking, baking, shopping and . . . enjoying all the goodies! It’s so good to be with family and to celebrate the resurrection of our savior. Happy Easter, everyone!
P.S. Video of one of our Easter egg hunts is on my Facebook page, with Bogie stealing an egg!
Happy Easter!
Wayne and I are flying back to Port Orchard this afternoon to spend Easter with our children and grandchildren. Our big get-together will be Saturday for the annual Macomber Easter Egg Hunt. I’ll start cooking in the morning. A traditional favorite is deviled eggs, only we call them angel eggs, because we don’t want anything to do with the devil. The grandkids will get high on sugar and chase one another all around the house, upstairs and down, and by the time everyone leaves Wayne and I will be ready to fly back to Florida where peace reigns. Would I change a single moment? No way. Happy Easter everyone! He lives. He lives indeed!

Happy Easter!
Today is Good Friday, which has tremendous meaning for me. This is the day Christ died for us. For many years I wasn’t sure exactly what His death meant. Even now I don’t think I’ve even scratched the surface of what His suffering upon that cross entails. What I do know is that because Christ died I shall live one day with Him. I have faith. I believe. I have problems, weaknesses and even moments of depression. Don’t we all? But when I do, I can always reach for my Bible and be comforted by His words: Be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
