I entered this afghan in a contest that represented an original creation using knit and crochet stitches.  It measures 35″ x 38″ with 20 knitted squares.  The orange blossoms, oranges and leaves were crocheted and added after I finished the project.  The oranges are knitted bobble stitches.  The white border is crochet.  I added some duplicate stitches when I was finished.  There were so many threads to tie in, I decided to back the whole afghan with some very soft cotton fleece, making it so warm!
