Thankful Tree
<< All ArticlesCreating a Thankful Tree is a wonderful way to remind ourselves of all that we have to be thankful for. It is a very inexpensive project, and you may already have everything around the house. This would also be a great activity for your Thanksgiving dinner guests to take part in. Everyone can have a few leaves to write what they are most thankful for.
To create a Thankful Tree, you will need branches, a tall, narrow vase, thread, pen, pencil, scissors, a hole punch, an empty toilet paper roll, and construction paper.
First, fold your toilet paper roll in half, then cut a short section off (about 2 inches). This will be the template for your leaves.
Use your pencil and leaf template to trace leaves onto your cardstock.
Cut out all of the leaves.
Next, punch a hole on one end of your leaf.
Write the things you are most thankful for.
We have so much to be thankful for!
Place your branches in your narrow vase, and arrange so you will have many areas and heights from which to hang your leaves.
Tie a short piece of string through the hole in the leaf, and hang on the branches.
