A Real Life Angel
I had one of those knot-in-the-pit-of-my-stomach moments last Sunday. Wayne and I flew from Florida to Washington state, changing planes in Atlanta. We made our connection just fine and boarded the plane for Seattle. When I reached for my knitting . . . it wasn’t there. I’d left it on the plane from the first half of our trip. This is a project I’ve been working on for weeks, a Christmas gift, and I was more than half finished. It was too late to retrieve it.
I was able to find out it had been handed over to Lost & Found. I literally had tears in my eyes, because there was no guarantee I would ever see that project again. But, thankfully, I met an angel, a Delta flight attendant named Beatrice Mullins, who took the time on Monday afternoon to collect my knitting and mail it to me. There are some really wonderful people in this world and I had the honor of meeting one of them.
