Wayne is reading far too many mysteries.  I say this because we received a phone call claiming that the burglar alarm had gone off and police had been dispatched.  I was half asleep when the call came, so I quickly dressed and Wayne and I rushed down to the office–to find no one there.  
 
When I contacted the alarm company, they said they hadn’t phoned.  Wayne grabbed the phone and called 9-1-1, convinced it was a set up to get us out of the house.  With our hearts pumping we raced home to discover the police standing guard.  To shorten the story, the alarm that went off was at our Florida home.  We still don’t know what set it off, but all is well, although it took Wayne and me until around three in the morning to fall asleep again.
