I heard on the news yesterday that every state in the Union had snow, with one exception–Florida.  Even Hawaii got snow on January 13.  Still, it’s cold here (in fact, very similar to Port Orchard’s weather!).  It’s so cold that my walking partner didn’t show up for our two-mile sojourn.  I’m from the north; I have grit and a warm coat , so I trekked those miles by my lonesome self, although it was boring.  To entertain myself I counted my steps.  Anyone care to guess how many steps it takes a short  woman like me to walk two miles?   More than  4000.
