Happy Valentine’s Day!
<< All ArticlesYears ago, when Wayne and I were dating, and I was oh-so-in-love (still am!), I came up with a pet name for him. I called him Bunny Toes, because he has hair on his toes. (Those were the days when everything was romantic, even hairy toes.) I still call him my Bunny Toes, although I’ve shortened it to B. Toes. Today he proved that he can be just as romantic as any hero in one of my books. Wayne remembered it was Valentine’s Day, and he gave me a beautiful ring. You gotta love a guy like that . . . hair on his toes and all! Happy Valentines Day!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
<< All ArticlesI have a gift for all my readers for Valentine’s Day: a fun, easy recipe my friend, Mary Lou Carney, and her sister, Libby, passed along to me. It’s for the crock pot. (I do love my crock pot!)
1 pot roast
1 package dry Brown Gravy Mix, disolved in 2 cups of water
1 cup Italian salad dressing.
Pour gravy and salad dressing over meat, turn on the crock pot and several hours later, enjoy.
Happy Valentine’s Day, one and all.

Happy Valentine’s Day!
<< All ArticlesWe’re on our way home from our fabulous get-away trip through the Florida Keys. Because of rough seas and unpredictable weather, we’re going back two days early. Even so, it has been a memorable and fabulous time.
The meals we were served were fantastic, many of them cooked on a BBQ on the catamaran. One night we had conch, which was pounded and tenderized. I wasn’t so sure about eating it, but found I liked it so much that I bought some at a local fishery to take home and plan to serve for Valentine’s Day. We saw lots of pelicans, mackerel jumping out of the water, flying fish, and, of course, dolphins. Scott and Cara Higginbotham, our captain and cook, were fabulous hosts. I’m told they have a picture of me praying during the rough weather. I hope to post pictures next week to the scrapbook page, so you can get a feel for the outstanding beauty of this special area.
May you have a warm and cozy weekend, and give your special Valentine a big hug!
