Hoedown for Humanity
Wayne and I are getting all gussied up for the big Habitat for Humanity Hoedown this weekend in Vero Beach. That means coveralls, straw hats and bandanas for the two of us.
Last year’s event inspired the story idea for LAST ONE HOME. I met some of the men and women serving at the dinner—they were there to work the hours they owed in order to get a home for themselves and their families. Their stories encouraged and inspired me . . . and gave me an idea for a really good book!
Here we are at the 2014 Habitat Hoedown. Wonderful organization. Terrific event.
