Holiday Celebrations
<< All ArticlesThe honors just keep coming. Last Christmas about this time I was one of the fruitcake judges for the Port Gamble Country Christmas celebration. Then in September of this year I judged the pies at the Western Washington State Fair in Puyallup. It really doesn’t get much bigger than that.
Once again I have been proved wrong. This Saturday I will flip the switch for Port Orchard’s Christmas tree lighting celebration. Now, my friends, this is big. Well, the tree is, at any rate. With the bells from City Hall chiming in the background and my grandchildren gathered around me, it’s going to be one of the highlights of the holiday season. Merry Christmas, everyone!
