Home Again
The last city of my spring tour was Knoxville, TN. It was a delight to participate in the Book Junkie Book Club event and meet with the knitters at The Knitting Nest in Maryville. Thank you, one and all, for coming to signings on this year’s tour. I have phenomenal readers!
Wayne and I flew home Tuesday morning and landed with a thud into reality. Within two hours of walking in the front door I had the washing machine going, shopped for groceries, put gas in the car, and had phone calls out to the grandkids. Bogie was so happy to see us he couldn’t stop jumping. There really is no place like home!
Home Again
I'm back! My intention was to blog every day that I was on tour for KNIT TOGETHER, but so much for that. There was plenty to write about, too. I ran into tornados, flash floods, rain like I’ve never seen – well, other than Florida, plus lightning that put the Fourth of July fireworks display to shame. And that was just Chicago. The storms followed me to Cincinnati and St. Louis, too, with spectacular thunder and lightning displays.
The best part of the tour, as always, was the opportunity to meet my readers. Invariably I come away from autographings feeling incredibly blessed. This tour was no exception. I will say, however, that it’s good to be home again and back in the office.
