Kindness Part 2
<< All ArticlesActs of kindness don’t need to be planned and are often spontaneous. Nor do they need to be complicated. For example, one thing I often do is return a cart to the store when I go shopping. If I see someone who is about to finish unloading their groceries into the car, I ask if they’d like me to return the cart. It’s a simple, easy thing to do. I’m surprised by how grateful people are and how surprised that someone would think to do that.
Today I met with a wonderful reader and her husband. They are on their honeymoon and as a surprise I joined them for lunch. To say Megan was surprised is an understatement. But as so often happens when I talk about kindness, I feel that I was the one blessed.

What a beautiful gesture on your part and I suspect a very thoughtful husband. What an absolute thrill it would have been. As I live in Australia it’s not likely I’ll ever get to meet you but thanks to your books and the internet I feel as though I know you. I particularly love that you do the little things that make people happy as I believe that the little things are what makes the biggest difference in everyday life. Thank you Debbie for the love you spread so freely.

Hi Debbie,
It is such an Honor to read this story as reminds me when Pete and I were Married, 5/1/11.
It has been a wonderful past two years reading The Rose Harbor Inn Series with Jo Marie Rose,

Will purchase at Stop and Shop supermarket!! Thank you for such inspiring stories of all the guests!
can’t wait to read what the future holds for special Jo Marie Rose!!!!
I would like to meet you in Poughkeepsie, NY library on Dec. 10th. It looks like you will have
to be a resident of the area to attend. Maybe you will come to Princeton, Nj Library one day!
Close to our home!!! 15 min. away. A large new Library in a quaint town!!
Blessings to you and family.

Debbie,
I love reading your books. Do you have a list of them in sequence so that I can follow the characters? I just finished reading “311 Pelican Court” and would like to follow the characters through the next book.
I have deduced that you are a happy person because your books exude life’s trials but end with happiness.
Keep them coming–

I started reading your Rose Harbor series and cannot get enough of them. YOU have become my favorite author. Your stories are amazing and it’s just the way you organize your novels. Going from one person to another is perfect. Thank you so much for your contribution to my life of the most entertaining stories.

Dear Debbie,
I live in a Nursing Home and get around by a motorized wheelchair. I also feed the birds outside my Windows. Recently as I went to take in my hummingbird feeder, I also took hers, she was so happy and just rejoiced so much. She praised, me over and over again saying I helped so many people in here and she was so thankful for all I do for her.
I told her I just want to shine the light of Jesus in all I do.
God Bless You, Debbie for being an example to so many.
Love, Mary

Hi Debbie,
I wrote a note, but for some reason it wanted another one.
Your books are so wonderful, when I start one I cannot put it down. Because I live in a Nursing Home and have limited funds, getting hold of your books are hard for me, but when I do I read them immediately, even if they aren’t in any order.
Your kindness is exemplified often throughout your great books.
Keep on keeping on, Debbie, and may the Lord Bless you many times over.
Lovingly, Mary

Fran, and/or Heidi Pollard . . .
If anyone happens to get such a list (as per Fran’s request), could you please share it with me? I’ve wanted something like that ever since I started reading Debbie Macomb books . . . and the problem is now compounded by the reprinting of her books under new titles! One of my pet peeves!
Thanks, Fran and Heidi!

Hello Debbie,
Just read your devotional for Oct. 4, 2016, concerning the blessing of honey in abundance you received. Made me smile! You also mentioned mourning the death of your son and how you felt God had placed His lovin arms around you. That touched my heart as I too have grieved over the death of a son, age 33, 21 years ago. I am so sorry for your loss, as I have walked that journey also, and I too have had instances of feeling God’s presence much as you describe. My journey has become somewhat softer and I have expressed that feeling to some who are newly bereaved. It doesn’t go away, but with God’s help it becomes more bearable.
The first books I read were the knitting stories. I found them when my Uncle & I visited Portland, Or. & Seattle areas. I loved them and was anxious to read the latest . Have read several others also.
Thank you for sharing in “Daily Guideposts “, this time starts my morning right!
I pray for all the writers in the devotional and look forward to the uplifting daily remarks.
God bless & keep you in his care.

Hello Debbie once again, this time in writing to say that yes! you are a very kund and loving Woman. I know just how excited that this wonderful couple fills getting to meet you in person. I was also lucky to meet you at a Book signing of Sweet Tomorrows in West Jordan, Utah. Getting to meet you and stand up to tell you brought me out of a shell, and got me to start reading, because I’ve had a very hard time with reading. You made my life so full of happiness, excitement, and thankful for loving to read now. Debbie you have touched so many of us in our lifes, that life is absolutely wonderful taking myself into each and every book as the characters that fall in love with someone. I was wondering if you could help me out with the series of a Blossom Street, I am kind of confused on which book goes next to read. Could you please email me and tell me what order that the books go in this series. I noticed that a book just came out, I do believe that talks about Savannah getting married and it was all because of her niece setting her up with her husband and I do not know which order that book goes into. I love each and every single one of your books simply adore them my life is like heaven with them. Thank You so many Debbie for making everyones life more enjoyable to live, because of you and your stories. Sending all my Love ❤ always and forever, Your friend for life Vicki ❤
