Meeting Readers
<< All ArticlesEvery now and again I have the opportunity to meet the most amazing, fun readers–women who give my heart a reason to sing. This happens far more frequently while I’m on tour, but it also happened this weekend.
We had two Cedar Cove Teas on Saturday and Sunday in Port Orchard at the Victorian Rose Tea Room. At the tea I met a group of four phenomenal women from Southern California who took a Friends Weekend trip to visit Cedar Cove and attend the tea. They’d emailed me ahead of time to let me know they would be in town. (Actually I think it was more of a warning!) They met (as I recall) in a support group for divorcees and have remained friends for thirty years. They were full of life and enthusiasm.
I’m delighted to post a picture they shared with me. Meet Janet Howland, Milly Thomas, Debbie Summers, and Barbara Cook.
People often ask me what I like best about being a writer. I don’t need to think twice before I reply: meeting my readers. Each and every one of you are amazing.
