My dear aunt betty
<< All Articles
News came this morning that my precious 105 year-old, Aunt Betty slipped quietly into the waiting arms of Jesus last night in her sleep. While the news brought immediate sadness and tears, our family has been blessed to have had her—the last of my father’s siblings. No words could ever relay how generous, kind, fun and forgiving she was. Even now I can hear the echo of her laughter.
Aunt Betty, you will be greatly missed.

Debbie, so sorry to hear about your aunt. What a wonderful Long life she had! My very good friend in Portland
Maine just called me two days ago that her mom passed at 105 yrs also. Must be a magical age! To live to100 these days is a miracle but to 105 is phenomenal! I Know our friend Martha who lived in Plymouth, Mass had quite a good
Life and with the support from the care facility and her family she held on longer than any one thought. My
Friend had taken photos of four generations with her mom just recently. What a gift for the grandchildren in years to come..
It’s sad to loose those closest to us but wonderful memories..may you and your family have those
Blessed memories too. Our sincere sympathy to all your family..

Betty was a good friend of my parents, and shared her birthday with my Mom. My Mom celebrated her 96th birthday on December 14. I am glad Betty passed away quietly in her sleep. She was such a sweet lady. The last time I visited her at her apartment, she gave me one of your books the last time my Mom and I visited her. She talked so fondly of you.
Betty and my father in law were first cousins. Thanks for sharing your special memories of this special lady – she lived a remarkable life.
Hugs!

I’m sorry to hear of the loss of your sweet aunt. How sad we are when someone we love has left us, but how we can rejoice knowing we will see them again one day. How jealous we are that they are in Paradise walking on streets made of gold and how beautiful it must be. What a beautiful place your aunt is rejoicing in. I’m praying for the sadness your family is feeling and asking God to show himself to you, especially in this time. He is the closest to us in our time of sadness. You are a beautiful person Mrs. Macomber.
